Privacy Policy for Phone Paathshala

This Privacy Policy explains how Zero Plus Plus Studios ("we", "us") handles information in the mobile app Phone Paathshala (the "App"). Phone Paathshala helps older adults learn to use a smartphone by practising on pretend app screens — everything inside it is a simulation, and nothing real ever happens.

The short version: the App does not collect any data about you, requests no permissions (not even internet access), and nothing you enter ever leaves your phone. There is no account, no server, and no ads.

1. Information we collect

Phone Paathshala does not collect or transmit any of your information. There is no user account, no sign-up, and no server for us to send anything to.

A setup name, stored only on the device. During a one-time setup, a family member may type a first name (and perhaps one or two family members' names) so the lessons feel familiar. This is stored only on your own phone, inside the App's private storage. It is never sent anywhere, and no one — including us — can see it.
A simple on-device activity log. The App keeps a local record of progress (for example, how many lessons were finished) so it can show you how far you have come. This log holds only counts and categories — never names, and never anything you type — and, like everything else, it never leaves your phone.

We do not collect your name (off the device), email address, phone number, contacts, photos, messages, files, location, or any advertising identifier. The App contains no advertising and no analytics services of any kind.

2. Permissions

The App requests no special permissions at all. It does not use the Camera, Microphone, Contacts, SMS, Call Log, Location, or external Storage. It does not even request internet access — the App works fully offline and has no technical way to connect to the internet or send data anywhere.

3. How the information is used

The setup name is used for one purpose only: to make the practice lessons feel personal and easy to follow, right there on the phone. Because nothing leaves the device, your information is never used for advertising, profiling, or any other purpose. There are no ads in this App, ever.

4. Sharing of information

We share nothing, because there is nothing to share and nowhere to send it. The App has no server, no backend, and no cloud. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with anyone — no advertisers, no analytics companies, no partners. There is simply no channel by which any information could leave your phone.

5. Children's privacy

Phone Paathshala is made for adults — typically older adults, often set up with help from a family member. It is not directed at or designed for children. Because the App collects no data and transmits nothing, it does not knowingly gather information from anyone, including children.

6. Data retention and deletion

Everything the App stores lives only on your phone, and you are always in full control of it:

To erase everything from inside the App, open Settings in the App and tap "Start everything again" — this removes all progress and names from this phone.
To remove the App and its data completely, simply uninstall it. This permanently removes the name and all App data from the device.
There is no cloud copy anywhere. Once you uninstall, nothing remains — not with us, not on any server, because none was ever created.

7. Security

Your information stays inside the App's private storage on your own device, kept separate from other apps by the phone's operating system. Because nothing is ever sent over the internet, there is no transmission that could be intercepted. The best protection for the small amount of information on the device is the lock screen (PIN, pattern, or fingerprint) you already use on your phone.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. If a future version of the App were ever to send any information off the device, we would clearly describe it here and make it optional before it took effect.
