GroupIt sends nothing about you anywhere. It has no account, no sign-in, no adverts, and no connection to the internet. What it records, it records on your own phone, for itself.
The game saves your progress on your own device: how many stars each board has earned, which board you last played, which drawings you have named, and your settings for sound, music, vibration, marking mode, counters and day mode.
This is kept in the app's private storage on your phone. It is not an account, it is not linked to you, and no one else — including us — can read it. Uninstalling the app deletes it.
If you have Android's own backup feature switched on, your device may include this file in the backup it makes to your Google Drive, in the same way it does for other apps. That copy is held by Google under your Google account and its own terms, and we have no access to it. You can turn this off in your device settings under Backup.
The game also keeps a plain list of what happened while you played — a board was started, a hint was asked for, a board was finished with two stars — and a random identifier generated the first time the app runs, which is not derived from you or from your phone and is not an advertising id. Both live in the app's private storage, and they exist so that a later version can be improved with some idea of where people get stuck. The same list is written to the phone's own system log, which is where an Android app's messages go and which is readable by a developer with the phone plugged into a computer; it is not readable by other apps and it does not leave the device. Uninstalling removes all of it.
Nothing. GroupIt makes no network requests. It does not request internet access, contains no third-party advertising or analytics software of any kind, uses no advertising identifier, and does not know anything about your device beyond what it needs to draw a screen and make a sound. The event list described above stays on the phone because there is no server to send it to and no code in the app that could reach one.
The app requests one permission: vibrate, used for the short tick when you mark a cell. You can turn vibration off in Settings, and the permission carries no information about you.
The app is not directed at children under 13. It does not knowingly receive information about anyone of any age, because nothing it records ever leaves the phone it was recorded on.
There is nothing held about you anywhere we could reach, so there is nothing to access, correct or export. To clear what is on the phone:
Settings → Erase all progress clears your stars, your last board, the drawings you have named and the awards you have earned. It does not clear the event list or the install identifier described above.
Uninstalling the app removes all of it, including the event list and the identifier. That is the complete erasure.
If a future version of the app ever sends anything off the device, this policy will be updated before that version is published, and the change will be described in the release notes on Google Play.
